What works today
Question text, answer options and explanations can be written in any language with a Unicode script — Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Bengali, Malayalam, Gujarati, Punjabi, Odia and more. They display correctly on the host screen and on students' phones. You can type them with Gboard or any Indian-language keyboard, or upload a regional-language PDF to PDF-to-Quiz and let the AI draft questions from it. Review every one: AI output in regional languages needs a closer check than English.
What is still English-only
The interface — buttons, menus, instructions and the join screen — is in English, and there is no committed date for a Tamil, Telugu or any other interface. Your questions, options and explanations can be in Hindi or any other language, and there are ready-made Hindi-medium NCERT templates. The participant screen itself is in English today — students only enter a PIN and a name, so there is nothing to navigate. A Hindi interface is on the roadmap without a committed date. There is also no state-board chapter library yet; the ready-made templates follow NCERT, in English and Hindi medium.
How to run a quiz in your language this week
Method 1 — from a PDF: download the chapter from your state board's site (for example Tamil Nadu SCERT or Maharashtra Balbharati), upload it to PDF-to-Quiz, review the questions, and launch. Method 2 — by hand: switch your keyboard to the regional script and type the questions and options into the quiz builder. Method 3 — mixed: write the question in English and the explanation in the students' language, which helps where the textbook is English but students think in another language. On the free plan the AI drafts 10 questions a month (20 in your first week), so for a weekly quiz most teachers type some questions themselves.
